Ooi is quite a unique last name, growing up, I hear all sorts of ways my name is pronounced, including "OI", "OIL", "OOO", etc. However, the correct way to pronounce Ooi, is "WEE" or like the french "OUI" <yes>. Hopefully if we meet, you can pronounce my last name correctly, much appreciated.
We live in Singapore (since 2003), it's hot most part of the year, with occasional rainfall during the monsoon season. The food here is a collage of chinese, malay, indian cuisine, but being a melting pot, you can just about get most international food fares.
Well, I talk about food, naturally, as this is one of Singaporean's favorite pastime. You get out and meet a friend, you'll ask, "Have you eaten?" or "吃了吗？", this is like "hello" in Singapore.
